Washington Sportsman Show Outdoor Cooking Championship

This event is a part of the Washington Sportsman Show, and this will be 5 days of cooking competitions, Demonstrations, and interacting with the public. This is a unique opportunity to compete in the winter months with a different angle.

Are you ready to throw down over the course of 5 days of outdoor cooking, showing your skills in front of 50 thousand attendees?

This will be a food sport competition like no other, Wild Game, Whole Animal, SCA Steak, Dutch Oven and a full BBQ Competition! 

Schedule of Events

Wednesday Jan 23rd

Show open to public 12pm8pm

Game Competition (12 Team Limit)

  • Featuring two game meats Venison/Elk and Game Bird.
  • ‘Celebrity’ judging in a face the judge’s presentation using SCA auxiliary category scoring

Thursday Jan 24th

Show open to public 12pm – 8pm

Whole Animal  (12 Team Limit)

  • Featuring the cooking of a whole animal.
  • On-site judging by ‘Celebrity’ judges using custom judging based on SCA axillary and MBN (Presentation to Judges)

Friday Jan 25th(24 Team Limit)

Show open to public 12pm – 8pm
SCA Steak Competition

  • Traditional SCA steak  competition with Rib-Eye Steak, then two auxiliary categories  (Salmon & Burger) for a total of three turn-ins
  • Sanctioning by SCA (Steak Cookoff Association)

Saturday Jan 26th(24 Team Limit)

Open to public 10am – 8pm

  • Competition Dutch Oven
  • Traditional three pot Dutch Oven Competition, Main, Bread and Dessert
  • Sanctioning by IDOS (International Dutch Oven Society)

Sunday Jan 27th (24 Team Limit)

Open to public 10am – 4pm

  • Competition BBQ Barbecue
  • Traditional BBQ competition Brisket, Pork , Pork Ribs and Chicken
  • Sanctioned by the PNWBA (Pacific Northwest BBQ Association)
